Job summary

Maxim Crane Works LP is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to gain hands-on experience across dispatch duties. You will assist in coordinating cranes, trucks, and labor, and ensure timely delivery for our customers from the branch.

The role supports compliance with DOT regulations and requires strong communication and problem‑solving abilities. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction, transportation, or admin support, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' prior experience as an equipment operator, driver, or in an administrative support role.
• Prior transportation and/or heavy equipment experience is preferred.
• High School diploma or GED; Associate or Technical degree preferred.
• Moderate to advanced PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dispatcher in coordinating, scheduling, and assigning labor and equipment to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Prepare daily dispatch reports and schedules; monitor weather-related regulations and adapt accordingly.
• Coordinate with billing to ensure rates and job tickets are accurate and timely.
• Support Compliance to ensure operations meet DOT and other regulations.
• Assist in creating maps/direction charts to comply with permit laws and assist in dispatching labor and equipment.
