Job description

Job Overview

This individual will be responsible for the effective washing, detailing and prepping of equipment for delivery of machinery and components of high quality. They will also be responsible for the organization and maintenance of the facility and coordination of all equipment in the yard. The role involves performing a variety of duties at the assigned location and developing long‑term relationships with other employees to facilitate efficient and accurate completion of the dealership process.

Compensation & Benefits

$20 – $28 / hour

Specific Duties

• Perform inbound inspections on rental machines and complete all related documentation to support the machine traffic process
• Complete damage inspections and review/create all necessary documentation to accurately identify and invoice customer damage to RDO assets
• Perform outbound quality control inspections to ensure that all machines leaving the RDO facility meet strict quality and cleanliness guidelines
• Maintain and oversee the overall organization of the yard and notify management of any related concerns
• Use company‑provided systems/tools (i.e., Sales Advantage) to assist or complete documentation, tracking, recording, follow‑up, and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner
• Assemble and coordinate preparation of machines for rental and sales activities
• Responsible for all equipment entering the yard until it is transferred over to the shop
• Complete a thorough check on all equipment prior to transferring it to the shop
• Responsible for moving, linking, unlinking, and monitoring all equipment in the yard
• Participate in the preparation of equipment for rental, sale, and/or demo
• Clean and detail company and customer equipment
• Document appropriate information on completed work order
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
• Conduct oneself in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company‑sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
• Participate in all company/location‑driven communication efforts, including open‑book meetings, huddles, department meetings, and other related efforts
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
