Job summary

MacAllister Machinery in Indianapolis is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on assembling, inspecting, and preparing equipment for delivery to end users, with opportunities to contribute to quality and customer success.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of assembly experience with landscape equipment; technical training is a plus and growth within the company is supported.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of assembly experience with landscape equipment, compact tractors or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, adjust, and install accessories on engine-powered equipment (gasoline or diesel) including but not limited to landscape equipment, compact tractors, and related attachments.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, tools, and parts storage areas to ensure they remain in safe, clean, and working condition.
• Prepare equipment for shipment (e.g., apply insulation wrap, secure loose-ship items, verify documentation).
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support inventory counts and tracking of whole goods and related accessories.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
