Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled tasks in care, modification, and operation of landscapes and grounds equipment. You will plant, trim, water, and fertilize, and assist with minor repairs under supervision.

You'll operate mowers, irrigation systems, and hand tools, follow safety procedures, and help protect grounds from snow and ice. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to and from worksites.
• Clear results from background check and ability to meet safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform seeding, watering, mulching, fertilizing, and chemical applications to lawns and beds.
• Mow lawns with riding or push mowers; trim, edge, and weed flower beds and hard surfaces.
• Set up, adjust, repair, and clean irrigation systems; perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Transport and operate light vehicles and power tools safely according to regulations.
• Assist in snow/ice prevention by clearing walkways and applying sand or salt.
• Follow safety instructions and wear required protective clothing at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
