Job summary

Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, OK seeks a full‑time veterinary technician to support a twelve‑doctor practice and a busy equine referral setting. You will rotate through anesthesia, ICU, internal medicine, and other services, delivering patient care with empathy and professionalism.

You should have excellent communication, organizational skills, and equine knowledge; training is provided for anesthesia.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational and people skills.
• Background with equine knowledge is a must.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures and treatments.
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
• Safely handle and restrain horses.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support client communication.
• Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies.
