Dumb Friends League’s Harmony Equine Center seeks a dedicated Barn Attendant to provide daily care and attention to horses and other animals. You will follow feeding, sanitation, and medical procedures while guiding volunteers and assisting with adoption processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining animal records, answering inquiries, aiding with equine intake, and supporting humane agents when needed. Must be dependable with a focus on safety and animal welfare.

Competenze

• Basic Equine Husbandry is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months experience handling equines is preferred.

Mansioni

• Care and handling of all animals including feeding, watering, and updating feed sheets.
• Observe animals for illness or behavioral issues and report to staff.
• Maintain records in the database and ensure a clean, safe facility.
• Assist with adoptions, intake, and donations processing.
• Answer calls and route messages; assist with intake of equines and veterinary appointments.
• Perform general property upkeep, groundskeeping, and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Support humane agents and law enforcement as needed.
