South Valley Equine is seeking an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in anesthesia administration and patient care for horses in Saratoga Springs, UT. This full-time role requires teamwork, empathy, and strong communication with surgeons, staff, and clients.

The position includes responsibilities from surgical setup to post-anesthesia recovery, maintaining equipment, and accurate medical documentation. Experience and a veterinary technician certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Veterinary Technician Certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory tests preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist Veterinarians clinically and provide daily patient care.
• Prepare for procedures and treatments, including anesthesia setup.
• Perform anesthesia administration and monitor patient condition.
• Maintain proper sterilization of equipment and cleanliness of surgical areas.
• Fill out anesthesia forms and post-op medication schedules.
• Communicate with surgeons, scrub technicians, and clients effectively.
• Oversee in-house documentation and manage inventory for the surgery department.
• Be able to recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly.
