Job summary
Allegan County is seeking a Records Specialist to review sale documents, verify legal descriptions, and enter data into the assessing software. You will interact with local assessors, support the Equalization Department, and help maintain the county's property records.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Three years reading and understanding legal property descriptions on deeds or surveys.
- MCAT certification within 24 months of hire.
- GIS knowledge is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes documents recorded at the Register of Deeds daily and validates legal descriptions.
- Analyzes sale type and enters data into assessing software; files records monthly.
- Enters PTA/RPS data into sale records in the software and distributes forms.
- Answers property questions and manages invoices, payroll, and supplies.
