The Smithsonian Institution seeks an Equal Employment Specialist to support its EEO programs, including ADR, SEP, RA, EEO training, affirmative employment, and the discrimination complaint process.
You will assist with intake requests, track complaints, coordinate ADR activities, and help maintain a model EEO program in line with EEOC and Smithsonian directives to prevent unlawful discrimination. This role requires understanding of federal EEO laws and strong data-tracking skills.
The Equal Employment Specialist is responsible for administering a variety of assignments in support of the Smithsonian's EEO programs, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR), special emphasis programs (SEP), reasonable accommodations (RA), EEO training, affirmative employment, and the EEO discrimination complaint process.
Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as performing fact-finding, analyzing information, conducting complaint processing activities, assisting in the identification of barriers to equal employment opportunity in accordance with federal equal employment opportunity laws and regulations.
