Job summary

Thurn Partners Ltd is seeking a Junior Analyst or Senior Associate to join its Industrials book in the United States. You will build out and own coverage across Transports and Machinery, with opportunistic exposure to Multi-Industrials and Aerospace & Defense.

This is a build-out mandate on a small team led by a PM who recently took over the book, working alongside one existing Senior Associate. You will contribute directly to the book from an early stage, working in a tightly-knit team with

Qualifications

• A STEM or quantitative background is preferred and direct sector coverage experience is not required if the foundation is strong.
• Comfortable working across multiple sub-sectors rather than a single lane.
• Strong, verifiable record of analytical rigor in prior roles (buyside or sellside).

Job description

A live search for a junior Analyst or Senior Associate to join a successful Industrials book. The book is currently skewed towards Housing/Construction, and the team is looking for someone to come in, build out and own coverage across Transports/Machinery, with opportunistic scope into Multi-Industrials and Aerospace & Defense. This is a build-out mandate on a team led by a PM who took over the book directly, working alongside one existing Senior Associate.

The Opportunity:

• Primary coverage across Transports/Machinery, with opportunistic exposure to Multis and A&D.
• Direct contribution to the book from an early stage.
• Small, closely-knit team structure with direct PM access.

Requirements:

• A strong analytical foundation is the priority — a STEM or quantitative background is preferred, and direct sector coverage experience is not a prerequisite if that foundation is strong.
• Comfortable working across multiple sub-sectors rather than a single narrow coverage lane.
• Strong, verifiable record of analytical rigor in prior roles (buyside or sellside).
