LayerZero Power Systems LLC in Aurora, OH, is seeking an Epoxy/Paint Operator for 1st shift to prepare, coat, and finish metal components used in high‑performance power distribution systems.

You will mix epoxy/paint, operate line equipment, inspect parts, read specs and SDS, maintain a clean 5S workspace, and support teammates with setup and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts by masking, cleaning, sanding, and bead blasting.
• Apply epoxy or paint with correct mixing ratios and techniques.
• Operate dispensing and paint line equipment safely and accurately.
• Inspect finished parts and ensure quality standards are met.
• Read build specs, SDS, and digital instructions.
• Maintain a 5S clean and organized work area.
• Assist teammates with setup, troubleshooting, and improvements.
• Use PPE and follow safety guidelines.

Position Description: Epoxy/Paint Operator 1st Shift

As an Epoxy/Paint Operator at LayerZero Power Systems, you will be responsible for the preparation, coating, and finishing of metal components and enclosures used in high-performance power distribution systems. Your work will directly contribute to the durability, safety, and appearance of mission-critical equipment.

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Prepare parts by masking, cleaning, sanding, and bead blasting
• Apply epoxy or paint using proper mixing ratios and techniques
• Operate dispensing and paint line equipment safely and accurately
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Read and follow build specs, safety data sheets (SDS), and digital instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
• Assist teammates with setup, troubleshooting, and process improvements
• Use PPE and tools correctly and follow all safety guidelines

Experience & Skills:

• Experience in manufacturing or similar hands-on work
• Comfortable using hand tools and working with small parts
• Good hand-eye coordination and vision for detailed inspection

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required, technical or trade school preferred
