Job summary
EPLAN is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in the Schaumburg, IL area. You will provide technical product support, analyze customer concerns, and guide clients toward positive outcomes using EPLAN solutions.
The role requires collaboration with sales engineers and product specialists to solve complex problems and share best practices across channels. Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in engineering or related fields, a background in electrical engineering, and strong English
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent in a technical field.
- 1 to 2+ years in engineering, automation, software, or related industry.
- Experience in technical support or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Knowledge of CAE/CAD tools for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical product support, resolving software and application issues.
- Document, track, and manage support cases in the Solution Center.
- Share best practices to the Knowledge Center for customers and colleagues.
- Collaborate with Second Level Support to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain knowledge of EPLAN products, updates, and industry trends.
- Support sales teams with product expertise and inquiries.
- Identify potential sales and service opportunities during support.
- Build positive customer relationships with responsive communication.
- Ensure activities comply with processes and service standards.
