Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Research Assistant to support neuroscience research focused on epilepsy and related neurological disorders. The role involves molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, and Western blotting, with additional responsibilities in mouse models, EEG recordings, and behavioral testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques is desirable.
• Experience in neuroscience or preclinical models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource to the department, communicating effectively and sharing knowledge with team members.
• Perform experiments and record data following approved protocols; design and execute daily lab experiments.
• Maintain strong client, colleague, and stakeholder relationships and respond to requests promptly.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment, manage inventory, maintain cell cultures, and support daily lab operations.
