Job summary

The candidate will collect and interpret data, contribute to manuscripts, and assist in developing grant proposals. A Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are required, with miRNA/RT-qPCR experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic and/or practical knowledge in biological/health science research is required.
• Experience in a biological/health science research capacity is preferred.
• Research experience with miRNA and reverse transcription quantitative PCR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, design, execution, and management of research projects in a basic biology/health science lab.
• Develops and implements goals and objectives of studies; designs and executes complex laboratory experiments.
• Performs advanced molecular and cellular techniques; manages and handles laboratory animals.
• Collects, analyzes and interprets research data; assists with manuscripts and reports.
• Coordinates activities of postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff.
• Oversees maintenance and testing of laboratory equipment; participates in proposal development for extramural funding.
