Job summary

The New York State Department of Health is seeking a Research Scientist 2 (RS2) to support the Bureau of Early Intervention with data management and program analysis for NYSEIP. You will help with data integrity, reporting, and economic analyses, and guide junior researchers in data handling and presentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field and one year of research experience.
• Two or three years of professional research experience required for higher levels.
• Substitutions: advanced degrees may replace experience.
• Strong SAS/SQL skills and familiarity with data systems and reporting.
• Experience linking datasets and conducting epidemiologic research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide data management and program analysis to support NYSEIP research.
• Contribute to performance reports and web reports posted on the DOH site.
• Assist in data migration integrity between early intervention information systems.
• Develop business requirements and validate data reporting.
• Conduct basic and advanced statistical analyses and report findings.
