Job summary

Takeda seeks an Associate Director-level epidemiology and real-world evidence expert to advance strategies across assets and programs. You will apply observational methods, digital tools, and AI-enabled approaches to support regulatory success, patient access, and lifecycle decisions.

You will collaborate with research, development, and commercial teams to identify evidence gaps, strengthen integrated plans, and deliver timely, high-quality studies that inform development and commercialization

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in epidemiology or related field with substantial experience.
• Experience conducting epidemiology/outcomes or real-world evidence studies in life sciences.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to inform program strategies and integrated evidence plans.
• Provide epidemiology expertise to support asset strategies, clinical development plans, regulatory activities, lifecycle planning, launch readiness, and commercialization efforts.
• Generate and interpret evidence to support indication prioritization, population estimates, patient segmentation, trial feasibility, endpoint selection, and development planning.
• Identify and evaluate data sources including claims data, electronic health records, registries, natural history datasets, biobanks, and other real-world data assets.
• Design and execute observational studies using appropriate methods and analytical approaches to address prioritized evidence questions.
• Author and review scientific materials including protocols, analysis plans, study reports, publications, regulatory submissions, and other evidence communications.
• Manage research partners and vendors to deliver high-quality studies on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards.
• Apply innovative technologies and methods including digital tools, advanced analytics, data visualization, and AI-enabled approaches to strengthen evidence generation.
