Qualifications

• Master's degree in Epidemiology or health-related field with specified epidemiology coursework and biostatistics coursework.
• Valid Hawaii driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate wastewater surveillance activities and support analysis of wastewater data.
• Study distribution and determinants of health-related states and events related to infectious diseases to aid in control of health problems.
• Produce data for decision making and for detecting, understanding, controlling, and preventing food- and waterborne diseases.
• Facilitate enhancement of disease outbreak investigations; respond to and report disease alerts; develop and enhance surveillance; exchange surveillance data with partners.
• Implement sentinel, syndromic, or hospital-based surveillance to enhance early detection and identify outbreaks; conduct epidemiological assessments.

Education

Master's degree in Epidemiology or health-related field with at least three epidemiological courses including one advanced level and at least two biostatistics courses with two credit hours each
