Job summary

The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department is seeking an Epidemiologist Supervisor to lead a team of epidemiologists and interns, guiding performance and professional growth. You will provide epidemiologic support, assess and analyze data, and prepare actionable insights for policy and program development.

As a seasoned supervisor, you will manage complex datasets, design surveillance tools, and communicate findings to diverse audiences, including community partners and internal leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or biostatistics.
• 4 years of epidemiologic data analysis experience.
• 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience supervising staff and guiding performance.
• Ability to communicate findings to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervises epidemiologists and interns and manages performance.
• Analyzes complex public health data and presents findings.
• Develops surveillance tools and dashboards for decision making.
• Coordinates with local, state, and federal partners on investigations.
• Ensures HR policies and department procedures are followed.
