Job summary

ASRT, Inc. is seeking an Epidemiologist I to support the Mycotic Diseases Branch at the CDC in Atlanta, GA. You will contribute to infectious disease surveillance design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, working with MDB staff to deliver timely, high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications include an MPH or public health master’s, 2–4 years of experience, and proficiency with SAS and REDCap. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master of Public Health (MPH) or master's degree with a public health concentration.
• 2–4 years of work experience in public health.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience preparing written documents and giving oral presentations.
• Strong analytic skills using large databases; experience with SAS and REDCap.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of infectious disease surveillance to design and update surveillance systems.
• Coordinate and provide quality control audits of data; collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Develop case report forms, user guides, and surveillance databases using REDCap, SAS and R.
• Verify human subjects' documents are submitted; track continuations and due dates.
• Perform data analysis and prepare 2x2 tables and graphs.
• Write manuscript drafts and meeting abstracts (approx. 2–5 per year).
• Design sessions or workshops on fungal diseases at international conferences (approx. 2–5 per year).
• Develop communication briefs to update MDB and CDC stakeholders on Valley Fever and other pathogens.
