Job summary

CAMRIS International, LLC seeks an Epidemiologist to support the CDC in Atlanta, GA. You will provide epidemiology expertise, perform statistical analyses, and contribute to surveillance reporting and manuscript preparation.

Responsibilities include study design, data collection, and collaboration with CDC staff. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required; PhD is desirable, with strong skills in R, Python, SQL, and PowerBI.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in health informatics, data science, epidemiology, statistics, or economics; PhD desirable.
  • Knowledge of HL7, OMOP, and FHIR and data standards for public health surveillance.
  • Experience with healthcare data systems (HealthVerity, Premier, Truveta, IQVIA, PCORNET, MarketScan) for surveillance.
  • Expertise in defining, analyzing, and monitoring chronic disease indicators using EHR, claims, and clinical data.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python, SQL) and visualization tools (PowerBI).

Responsibilities

  • Provide epidemiology expertise for public health programs, including surveillance and reporting.
  • Analyze data, generate tables/figures for presentations/publications.
  • Design and implement epidemiologic studies; field/site visits as needed.
  • Prepare reports/newsletters for partners; coordinate with CDC.
  • Assist with IRB submissions and joint analyses/publications.
