Job summary

NESC Staffing LLC is seeking a detail-focused Buyer/Planner to collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager, Manufacturing, Accounting, and suppliers. The role ensures materials are purchased and available, and that production jobs and schedules are accurately maintained.

Responsibilities include creating purchase orders, managing suppliers, maintaining Epicor records, and supporting month-end reporting. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this position based

Qualifications

Associate degree or relevant technical/business education required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems required. Epicor knowledge a plus.
Basic knowledge of purchasing and production planning processes.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare purchase orders to support production requirements.
Manage suppliers using key factors like price, quality, delivery, and service; monitor on-time delivery; coordinate expedites when necessary.
Maintain accurate supplier, part, lead-time, buyer code, pricing, and other purchasing information in Epicor.
Assist with month-end purchasing and inventory reporting.
