Job summary

P&F Machining, Inc. in Otsego, Minnesota is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules for CNC milling, turning, and Swiss machining, coordinating with Production, Engineering, Quality and Purchasing to meet customer delivery requirements.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Epicor ERP, have strong planning and communication skills, and focus on maximizing throughput, reducing lead times, and maintaining accurate inventory and capacity data.

Qualifications

• Experience with production scheduling in high-mix, low-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling, turning and Swiss machining.
• Proficient in Epicor ERP and MRP.
• Ability to communicate across departments and lead projects.
• Attention to detail and record-keeping for audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the daily and weekly production schedules for machining and assembly.
• Use Epicor to balance customer demand, machine capacity and material constraints.
• Adjust schedules in real-time to mitigate delays and inform stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure material availability for the schedule.
• Monitor WIP and finished goods inventories to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Generate reports on schedule attainment and capacity utilization.
• Maintain accurate records and traceability for audits.
