Job summary

Eden Prairie Public Schools is seeking a Youth Programs EPIC Paraprofessional to support CMS Mornings and district-wide enrichment activities. This is a casual, as-needed position with hours varying based on enrollment and program needs.

Typical shifts are Monday–Friday mornings from 7:00 AM to 9:15 AM, with additional hours possible for EPIC classes and enrichment programs. Assist in creating a positive learning environment and follow classroom plans.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to problem solve and be sensitive to the needs of academically challenged students.
• Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.
• Knowledge of discipline policies & procedures.
• Ability to follow the teacher's plan & direction; monitor situation in the classroom & adjust accordingly.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support CMS Mornings program hours 7:00 AM – 9:15 AM.
• Provide paraprofessional support during enrichment classes, camps and other youth programming.
• Assist in maintaining a positive, orderly and safe learning environment.
