UMC Health System in the United States is seeking an IT Application Analyst to support Epic and third-party applications used by clinical and operational teams.
The role involves design, testing, implementation, optimization, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver cohesive IT solutions. RN or nursing licensure may be needed; Epic certification within six months is required or encouraged.
Epic Willow Ambulatory (Retail Pharmacy) Hybrid if local or fully remote if experienced/certified and not local IT Application Analyst-Associate is responsible for providing support for Epic and 3rd party applications used by supported departments. This includes implementation, support, maintenance, and optimization of applications, systems, and technologies. This position requires collaboration with other IT teams, leadership, and end users to ensure a cohesive, integrated product offering. This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the operational needs, and then design, and implement solutions that meet those business requirements. Epic is the primary software vendor, but responsibility does include other software vendors. This position will foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Internal: Requires interaction with all UMC departments, medical staff, technical personnel at TTUHSC and UMC Physicians, and future connect affiliates. External: Works with multiple vendors from a support perspective.
Works is a well‑lighted, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate the needs of other departments or system maintenance. Many system management functions can only be performed during non-peak hours. Normal work hours are from 8:00am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.
