Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an experienced HIT Program Manager to lead large-scale Epic transformation initiatives and strategic healthcare technology programs. You will align executive governance with clinical operations, IT, and vendor partnerships to deliver measurable organizational value.

You will oversee multiple interdependent workstreams, drive adoption, and ensure program success across the health system, reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of healthcare technology program leadership experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent; certification required within one year of hire.
• Experience leading Epic transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex healthcare technology initiatives aligned to organizational strategy.
• Serve as advisor to executive leadership with governance, status reporting, and decision support.
• Direct and coordinate multiple Epic projects and workstreams.
• Partner with clinicians, operations, IT, and vendor partners to drive program success.
• Manage budgets, resources, vendor engagements, risks, and priorities.
• Establish governance structures, PM standards, dashboards, and communication plans.
• Oversee full lifecycle from intake to benefits realization.
• Mentor teams and drive continuous improvement in program management.
• Lead initiatives to optimize workflows and provider experience.
