Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia (UVA) seek a seasoned HIT Program Manager to lead major Epic transformation initiatives across UVA Health. You will align strategy with clinical and operational goals, guide executive governance, and ensure value realization across the health system.

In this high-visibility role, you will manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor project sponsors while advancing organizational readiness for large-scale healthcare technology

Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent required; PMP within 12 months of hire.
• 8+ years of program management experience in healthcare technology.
• Experience leading Epic transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex healthcare technology initiatives aligned with strategy.
• Act as trusted advisor to executive leadership with governance and reporting.
• Direct multiple Epic projects and coordinate cross-functional workstreams.
• Partner with clinicians, IT, operations, and vendors to drive success.
• Manage budgets, resources, and vendor engagements across the portfolio.
• Establish governance, reporting frameworks, and communication plans.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle from intake to benefits realization.
• Mentor sponsors and teams on program management best practices.
• Drive process improvement and technology adoption to optimize workflows.
