Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a Training Director to lead Epic training programs and a team of credentialed trainers. You will design curricula, coordinate with Epic project builds, and ensure top-tier education for providers and staff across the organization.

The role requires Epic accreditation/certification preference, strong instructional design skills, and a Bachelor’s degree. The position is hybrid and must reside in the greater San Antonio area, with relocation offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong organizational abilities.
• Solid understanding of adult learning theories and competency-based education.
• Experience with Epic training in production and non-production environments.
• Proficiency in building training environments, tools, and methods.
• Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared team setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the training team, including hiring, performance management, and professional development.
• Directly supervise credentialed trainers in Epic classrooms and provide growth opportunities.
• Develop strategic training programs for Epic projects and new implementations.
• Create and maintain curriculum, guides, and educational materials.
• Collaborate with application and technical teams to align training with builds and testing.
• Provide leadership to ensure timely, effective end-user education and documentation.
