Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking an experienced Epic Security Coordinator to lead security access governance for the Epic EHR. The role focuses on provisioning, audits, compliance, and implementing role-based security across Epic applications to protect PHI.

The coordinator collaborates with IT, Security, Compliance, HR, and Epic teams, ensuring access requests are processed correctly, documented, and aligned with policy while supporting audits and security improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience supporting Epic, healthcare information systems, identity management, information security, or healthcare operations, required.
• 1 year of experience administering user access and security within healthcare applications, required.
• 1 year of experience with Epic security concepts and access management, preferred.
• 1 year of experience supporting HIPAA compliance activities, preferred.
• 1 year of experience with healthcare regulatory and accreditation environments, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Cybersecurity, Health Care Administration, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Related field, required OR four years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Administers Epic security access and maintains role-based access models.
• Coordinates access requests for hires, transfers, contractors, and providers.
• Supports HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, Joint Commission compliance and audits.
• Conducts user access reviews and audits for security.
• Collaborates with IT, Security, Compliance on identity management.
• Acts as primary point of contact for Epic security questions.
• May support on-site go-live and travel for Epic training as needed.
