The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams across clinical, operational, and technical groups, possess knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4 and DRGs, and have 5+ years of healthcare project management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hospital/healthcare project management experience.
  • Knowledge of coding concepts ICD-10, CPT-4, DRGs.
  • Bachelor's degree or professional equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across clinical, operational, technical, and vendor organizations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, governance committees, and executive status reporting.
  • Identify, track, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and escalation paths.
  • Ensure alignment across application, infrastructure, and operational teams.
  • Support testing, conversion planning, cutover execution, command center operations, and stabilization activities.
  • Drive accountability and execution across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Collaborate closely with advisors, application analysts, and organizational leadership.
  • Maintain project documentation and communicate project status, decisions, and outcomes to leadership.

Description:

Our direct client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with Operational experience, specifically patient accounting or patient registration.

The ideal candidate will have both operational knowledge with IT implementation and project management experience, with a background in patient access, patient accounting, scheduling, and/or medical records. The candidate will need an understanding coding concepts such as ICD-10, CPT-4, and DRGs.

This is a mostly remote role, with occasional on-site meetings in the Philadelphia metro area.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and best practices.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership, steering committees, and governance groups.
  • Experience in one or more of the following Revenue Cycle areas is required: Patient Access, Patient Accounting, Scheduling, Medical Records
