Job summary

STI in Goldsboro, NC seeks an IT Deployment and Testing Technician to deploy and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers for clinical and administrative use, including Epic. You will perform software installations, basic troubleshooting, and end-to-end device testing to validate Epic TDR readiness, and document results for post-deployment reviews.

The role requires an Associate's degree (or equivalent) and 1–3 years in IT hardware deployment, with Epic EHR experience preferred;

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
1–3 years of IT hardware deployment, troubleshooting, or similar roles.
Experience with Epic or other electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers in clinical and administrative settings.
Perform software installations and ensure required applications and system configurations are in place.
Set up hardware to comply with organizational standards and security policies.
Conduct basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
Collaborate with IT support to resolve complex issues promptly.
Test Epic workflows and Epic TDR readiness on deployed devices.
Document testing results and device configurations; contribute to post-deployment reports.
Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to schedule installations with minimal disruption.
