Job summary
STI in Black Mountain, NC is seeking an IT Deployment and Testing Technician to deploy and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals in clinical and administrative settings, including Epic systems. The role covers software installation and end-to-end device testing for readiness for Epic TDR.
The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree or equivalent, 1–3 years in IT hardware deployment and troubleshooting, and familiarity with healthcare IT.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT hardware deployment, troubleshooting, or similar roles.
- Experience with Epic or other electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers in clinical and administrative settings.
- Perform software installations and ensure all required applications and system configurations are in place.
- Set up hardware to comply with organizational standards and security policies.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and peripheral issues; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Perform complete end-to-end testing on devices to validate readiness for Epic TDR and report results.
