Job description

• We are seeking a contract resource to support Epic Radiant build and configuration for the Radiology Patient Access Optimization project.
• The resource will support initiatives focused on improving radiology patient access across ticket scheduling, patient outreach, referral coordination, and protocolling.
• The work includes implementing prioritized Radiant enhancements, supporting an ongoing pipeline of optimization opportunities, and partnering with clinical stakeholders and other IT application teams to design, build, test, and implement solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Epic Radiant analysis, build, configuration, and implementation for Radiology Patient Access initiatives.
• Expand Radiology ticket scheduling and develop related build guidelines and maintenance processes.
• Implement Radiant functionality supporting the Patient Contact Center (PCC) outbound calling program.
• Optimize Radiology referral coordination through Financial Clearance Unit centralization, including referral generation and routing.
• Implement Radiology protocolling workflows, including new protocol designs, protocol form updates, and workflow changes.
• Complete standard Radiant change requests involving procedures, visit types, protocols, SmartText/SmartPhrase content, and scheduling/process instructions.
• Build and support Radiant reports and worklists, including Tech Work List, Protocol Work List, Status Board, Snapboard, LRP reports, and print groups.
• Support Cogito reports and dashboards, including identification and definition of metrics and KPIs and collaboration with the Enterprise Data team.
• Develop and execute unit tests, support integrated testing, and assist with interface troubleshooting.
• Coordinate implementations with clinical stakeholders and other IT application teams while following UCDH IT Applications standards and change processes.
• Develop knowledgebase articles and supporting documentation for Radiant solutions.
• Identify and, as time permits, implement additional Radiology Patient Access optimization opportunities with the greatest expected impact.
• Support user acceptance documentation and related training materials.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

• Epic Radiant Certification: Hands-on Radiant build and configuration experience supporting radiology
• workflows.
• Radiology application workflows: Experience supporting relevant scheduling, referral, patient access, patient outreach, and/or protocolling workflows.
• Radiant configuration: Experience with procedures, visit types, protocols, SmartText,

SmartPhrase, order instructions, scheduling instructions, and related Radiant content.

• Radiant reporting: Experience with Radiant application reports/worklists, including Tech Work List, Protocol Work List, Status Board, Snapboard, LRP reports, or print groups.
• Epic reporting/analytics: Experience developing or supporting Cogito reports/dashboards and identifying relevant metrics and KPIs.
• Testing and troubleshooting: Hands-on experience testing application changes and

troubleshooting related interfaces or application issues.

• Healthcare IT implementation: Experience working with clinical stakeholders and IT application teams to implement application

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Broader Epic Radiant experience across multiple Radiology workflows, particularly where scheduling, referrals, changes, patient access, outreach, and protocolling intersect.
• Experience with Radiology Patient Access optimization or workflow improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting Radiology operational teams through application configuration, workflow changes, and ongoing enhancement work.
