Premier Health is seeking an Epic Analyst - Community Connect within the Digital Health & Technology Department. The role focuses on optimizing and supporting Epic-related systems to improve workflows, collaboration, and patient/provider experiences.

You will influence project life cycles from planning through implementation and continuous improvement. The position emphasizes collaboration across clinical, technical, and operational groups, with opportunities to guide junior staff and to grow

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 6+ years of job experience or Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of job experience.
  • Epic experience: 2+ years (or more depending on degree) required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with healthcare information systems and IT processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process and implement approved change requests within SLAs.
  • Respond to system incidents and provide user support to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead or participate in projects; provide estimates for complex work.
  • Mentor other programmer analysts and share knowledge with the team.
  • Understand Premier Health IT policies, change management, incident handling.

PREMIER HEALTH – SYSTEM SUPPORT

Department: Epic Community Connect Program

Schedule: Full-Time / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM / 80 hours per pay period (every two weeks).

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the processing and implementation of approved change requests within established service level agreements.
  • Responds to assigned system incidents, providing support and assistance to all users to correct and avoid recurrence of problems.
  • Works as a team member or leader on projects as well as provides estimates for complex work efforts. Dimensions of project assignments range from simple stand‑alone applications to large projects.
  • Provides back‑up assistance to other team members and shares knowledge/education with fellow team members.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Researches, learns and understands the Premier Health IT policies, procedures and practices, especially related to change management, incident handling and service level agreements.
  • Demonstrates progressive growth in capabilities, productivity, and delivery as capability and capacity develops.
  • Manages competing prioritizes, delivers and meets organizational goals.
  • Delivers solutions to complex business problems that are cost‑effective and produce high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Leads and mentors other programmer analysts in the development, implementation, and problem resolution of an application. This is accomplished through planning, scheduling, assigning, coordinating, and reviewing tasks performed by team members. May provide input to the yearly performance evaluation of staff.
  • Evaluates software and hardware products and make recommendations for improving operations or processes.

Note: Hybrid/work‑from‑home available.

Preferred Candidate Requirements
  • Local Candidates preferred - must be willing to commute and work “in‑person” occasionally at the Dayton, Ohio area offices.
  • Preferred candidates will live within 60 miles driving distance to Dayton, Ohio.
  • Associate Degree with 6 plus years job experience & 3 years Epic experience or Bachelor Degree with 4 plus years job experience & 2 years Epic experience.
  • Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Area of study or major: Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
  • Experience with implementing clinical and/or healthcare business information systems in a large‑scale and complex healthcare organization. Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
