Job summary

Premier Health – SYSTEM SUPPORT in Dayton, OH, is seeking an EPIC PROGRAMMER / ANALYST for Inpatient Orders. The role covers full project lifecycles, from design through implementation, supporting inpatient workflows and collaborating with clinicians and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 6+ years of job experience or bachelor degree with 4+ years.
• Epic Certification is required.
• PM Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced-level programming and systems analysis support for a broad array of strategic and tactical projects
• Participate in all phases of the project life cycle, including project definition, estimating, systems design, programming, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and documentation
• Support the implementation of integrated hospital and corporate computer systems
• Provide functional technical guidance to entry- and intermediate-level programming staff
• Act as a leader and coordinator for team assignments and goals
• Recommend, design, develop, and implement information systems that meet departmental objectives within the functional area of responsibility
• Apply practical experience and advanced operational technical knowledge to build effective business relationships and partnerships
• Integrate advanced technical skills with business knowledge to deliver effective information systems solutions
• Manage all activities involved in developing an information system from initial project review and scope definition to final implementation with minimal supervision
• Respond to software malfunctions within assigned systems and provide support to operations and users to correct issues and prevent recurrence
• Support Epic-related inpatient clinical workflows with emphasis on Inpatient Orders, Order Sets, Order Panels, and Order Transmission
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred candidates will live within 60 miles driving distance to Dayton, Ohio

• Associate Degree with 6+ years of job experience, 3+ years of Epic experience, and Epic Certification required; or Bachelor Degree with 4+ years of job experience, 2+ years of Epic experience, and Epic Certification required
• Degree in IT or related area required; related areas include Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine
• Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
• Epic Certification
• Project Management Certification preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to technically contribute as a team member to strategic and tactical projects
