Job summary

Powers Health seeks a dedicated healthcare liaison to establish and manage relationships with physicians and their staff, promoting adoption of Powers Health information systems across hospital settings.

You will communicate physician needs, coordinate solutions with IT and leadership teams, and support system implementations. Epic proficiency is preferred, with ongoing training opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Indiana nursing licensure required.
• At least 5 years recent healthcare clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Epic proficiency/certification preferred or must obtain Epic proficiency/certification during introductory period.

Job description

Establishes and manages working relationships with physicians and their office staff to understand their needs and promote the use, growth and adoption of Powers Healthinformation systems and services. The liaison works closely with department managers and nursing informatics personnel to communicate identified physician issues and coordinate potential solutions. Communicates both directions between Powers Healthand physician entities. Functions as the Powers Health primary representative to physicians for the implementation of new systems that impact physician entities and participates in the design of system changes and enhancements. Provides continuous and ongoing assessment of physician satisfaction with regard to information systems, products and services. Provides recommendations for improvement and actions needed to retain physician satisfaction. Utilizes a system-wide perspective to promote standardization between facilities. Coordinates necessary meetings to discuss and resolve standardization and change issues. Recommends issues for elevation to executive level and participates in executive leadership meetings as requested. Provides status reports to Vice President and Directors as needed. Provides input to physician orientation agendas for information systems, IT services, Epic build and security. Identifies training needs for ongoing education to physicians and their office staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related clinical specialty. Licensure in Nursing or area of specialty in the State of Indiana required.
• Minimum 5 years recent healthcare clinical experience in a hospital setting. Experience and working knowledge of physician practices is a preference.
• Experience and understanding of physician-nursing relationships.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Working knowledge of multiple software applications, systems analysis/design, integration/design, or web applications/design.
• General understanding of underlying technologies: hardware, networking, Intranet, Internet, PDA, bar coding and wireless.
• Ability and commitment to meet deadlines and cope in a fast paced environment.
• Capable of working well in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teams.
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations.
• Epic proficiency/certification preferred or must obtain Epic proficiency/certification during introductory period.
