The analyst acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues and participates in all phases of system development, testing, and rollout. Responsibilities include leading meetings, coordinating testing, and providing on-site support during implementations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Epic Certification in 1 module is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.

Summary

Combines technical system knowledge, workflow optimization, and stakeholder engagement to ensure Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems are effectively implemented, maintained, and aligned with clinical and operational needs. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Plays a role in the development, support, and rollout of the Epic EHR system. Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle, including but not limited to requirements gathering, use case development, and solution evaluation. Brings relevant topics to discussions/meetings. Speaks to system settings and tasks. Facilitates and leads meetings with internal teams and vendors. Assists with Epic software releases and new application implementations. Participates in application testing and validation during upgrades or new module implementations. Serves as an onsite Epic resource during implementations and ongoing support activities. Develops, configures, and modifies moderately complex systems to support clinical and operational needs. Designs, codes/configures, tests, and maintains application programs. Configures and customizes Epic applications to optimize workflow processes. Utilizes Epic best practices to ensure system builds align with organizational standards and workflows. Supports existing functionality and expands application capabilities as needed. Assists in the coordination of all testing phases of Epic applications during implementations, upgrades, and optimizations. Participates in application testing efforts and validates system performance. Participates in on-call support for system troubleshooting and issue resolution. Provides second-level support for incidents and service requests. Creates and maintains documentation for business requirements, current and future-state workflows, and system configurations. Provides input into policies, procedures, and best practices. Contributes to ongoing system optimization and workflow improvement initiatives. Collaborates with clinical, operational, and facility teams to support Epic implementation and adoption. Builds and maintains strong relationships with Physicians, Nurses, Revenue Cycle teams, Health Information Management staff, and facility leadership. Works closely with Epic project teams, business partners, and end users. Provides hands-on training and support to end users. Collaborates with facility teams to deliver training sessions. Ensures users are equipped to efficiently utilize Epic systems. Ensures alignment of Epic systems with organizational goals and standards. Applies Epic best practices for system design, build, and optimization. Participates in IT and clinical/business system governance activities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Requires 2-4 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes IS, clinical, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires an understanding of healthcare business processes and technology, with basic knowledge of healthcare workflows and terminology.
• Ability to travel to assigned sites as required.
• Epic Certification in 1 module is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
