Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Pain Management team in Bethpage. The role involves assisting physicians and nurses, obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for procedures, with a focus on safe, compassionate care in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or completed Medical Assistant program, or 2 years MA experience, plus strong communication skills and basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; MA program or 2 years MA experience.
• Excellent communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care; maintain patient flow and charting.
• Obtain vital signs, monitor EKGs, and collect specimens as needed.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms; perform light housekeeping and scheduling support.
• Assist with training new Medical Assistants; perform administrative duties as needed.
