Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Three years of experience coding professional or hospital services in an outpatient or clinic setting preferred.
• Knowledge of denial management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret documentation to identify coding discrepancies.
• Resolve pre-bill claim edits from all areas and as identified by claims scrubbing software.
• Educate partners on CMS policies for outpatient, inpatient, and professional coding.
• Research complex billing and denial issues and apply AMA/CMS guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to improve productivity and support Epic billing modules.
