Job summary

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) seeks a Full-time Director of Lab Information Systems to lead Epic LIS design, implementation, testing and optimization for Beaker, AP, CP, and related modules.

You will partner with senior leaders to guide strategic initiatives, manage staff and budgets, ensure quality results, and align projects with patient care goals across South Florida.

Qualifications

• Epic Certifications required; Epic Beaker (CP and AP), Epic Orders, Data Innovation preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
• Familiarity with lab workflows, regulatory requirements, integration points with other Epic modules, and patient experiences

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, build, testing, modification, and analysis of LIS applications
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and patient outcomes
• Manage staff and allocate resources; oversee project scope, budget, schedule, and quality
• Establish communication with clinical and business leaders; lead weekly project team meetings
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and service excellence
• Partner with IT teams to streamline services for incidents, requests, and projects
