Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a Manager – Epic Patient Experience to lead Epic Patient Access applications across the organization. You will guide staffing, configuration, and optimization of Cadence, Prelude, and Grand Central to support scheduling, registration, and access workflows.

This role requires Epic/EHR expertise, leadership experience, and collaboration with IT, governance, and patient access leaders to translate requirements into scalable system solutions and improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Epic or other EHR applications, healthcare IT, or related technical roles, required.
• 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in application support or informatics, required.
• 1 year of experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or large-scale system optimization initiatives, preferred.
• 1 year of experience leading Epic application teams in a health system environment, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, information systems, or related field, required.
• Epic certification or ability to attain Epic certification in assigned module(s) within defined timeframe determined at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and operational oversight for Epic Patient Access application functions and ensures alignment with governance standards.
• Directly manages Epic application analysts and technical resources; oversees staffing, onboarding, and performance management.
• Oversees design, configuration, and maintenance of Epic Patient Access applications; partners with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Manages application change requests; oversees upgrades, testing cycles, and implementation of new Epic functionality.
• Supports patient access workflows and collaborates with leaders to identify system-based solutions; ensures incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Participates in Epic governance, change control, and patient access/revenue cycle councils; promotes standardization and risk identification.
• Collaborates with other Epic Application Managers to ensure end-to-end workflow integration and enterprise initiatives.
