Job summary

Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking an Epic Enterprise Project specialist to support and optimize Epic applications across the enterprise. You will collaborate with clinical and technical teams to implement, support, and enhance Epic workflows, helping improve patient care and operational efficiency.

The role requires Epic training or certification, strong customer service, and 2–5 years in IT or healthcare tech.

Qualifications

• Epic-related training projects/tests completed.
• Epic certification preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to support internal users in a courteous, caring, and proactive manner.
• 2–5 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with personal computers (2–3 years); experience with PC hardware troubleshooting is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide software support to internal customers for applicable operating systems and associated subsystems. Manage and prioritize maintenance, upgrades, and efficient use of software systems. Serve as the liaison between end users and technical staff to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs.
• Act as the primary support contact for the application's end-users
• Identify and resolve issues within the application and across other teams
• Guide workflow design, system building, testing, and analysis of technical issues
• Implement system changes as requested by stakeholders
• Communicate regularly with Epic representatives and attend project team meetings
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to meet project deliverables and timelines
• Develop an understanding of operational needs and assist in workflow optimization
• Provide training and support for end users
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain effective communication with leadership
• Monitor project status, deliverables, and team communications
• Perform all other duties as assigned

This position is a critical part of Baton Rouge General's Epic Enterprise Project, a transformative initiative to optimize healthcare delivery through advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems. As part of this project, you will play a key role in implementing, supporting, and enhancing Epic applications to ensure seamless workflows and improved patient care. What We're Looking For

• Completion of Epic related training projects/tests
• Completion of Epic certification preferred.
