Responsibilities

• Review and monitor accounts in Hospital Billing, Denial and Follow-Up queues in EPIC.
• Contacts insurance carriers to confirm payments and explain denials.
• Ensure claims are billed correctly, payments applied, and adjustments made.
• Gather documentation to reprocess/adjudicate for maximum reimbursement.
• Escalate problem accounts to management within 2 days.
• Document actions in EPIC notes and follow-up sections.
• Handle external claim edits and 277 rejections; resubmit claims.
• Process paper claims with proper documentation.
