Job summary

Ohio Department of Behavioral Health seeks an experienced Epic Health Information Management Analyst (Information Technologist 3) to design, build, and maintain Epic HIM applications. You will support ROI, coding, chart tracking, and document imaging while ensuring privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.

In this role you will collaborate with HIM professionals, clinical leaders, and IT teams, manage the full change lifecycle, and contribute to efficient, secure health information workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or undergraduate core program in CS/IS.
  • 36+ months of work experience across multiple areas as described in the posting.
  • Experience with Epic HIM applications and healthcare information management.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure, test, implement, and maintain Epic HIM applications (ROI, Deficiency Tracking, Identity, Coding & Abstracting, Chart Tracking, Document Imaging).
  • Analyze HIM workflows with stakeholders and translate requirements into Epic builds.
  • Support security, consent management, and privacy features for protected records.
