Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a System Analyst Level IV, Healthy Planet, Primary Architect to serve as the technical owner and strategic leader for the Healthy Planet application within the Epic environment. You will guide long-term design, governance, and roadmap while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Epic best practices.

Qualifications

• EpicCare Ambulatory Certification required.
• Healthy Planet and Compass Rose certifications preferred.
• Compass Rose Analytics Build Certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Application Ownership: own Healthy Planet with long term health, stability, and strategic direction; establish configuration standards and manage build approaches.
• Solution Design and Architecture: evaluate enhancements, assess Epic functionality, design scalable solutions, ensure upgrade compatibility.
• Governance and Standards: define naming conventions, security/workflow/test standards, review significant config changes for compliance.
• Cross Application Collaboration: partner with EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Orders, Willow, Radiant, Beacon, reporting and interface teams to align Epic ecosystem.
• Strategic Planning: develop and maintain the Healthy Planet roadmap, evaluate new Epic functionality, plan upgrades, prioritize requests.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship: mentor analysts, conduct design reviews, provide troubleshooting guidance, act as escalation point.
• Project Leadership: lead Healthy Planet workstreams, develop estimates, coordinate assignments, oversee milestones.
• Epic Vendor Partnership: liaison with Epic Systems, manage tickets, review release notes, participate in advisory groups.
