Job summary

IT Impact Consulting is seeking a Health Data Exchange Analyst (Epic Analyst) to support health data interoperability initiatives for a leading health insurance organization. You will work with Epic systems to keep patient data flowing accurately and securely across care networks in a remote, full-time capacity.

The role requires hands-on experience with HL7 and FHIR, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and collaboration with clinical, technical, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Epic in an analyst role.
• Knowledge of HL7 and FHIR interoperability standards.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with healthcare data.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional healthcare IT teams.
• Understanding of health data privacy and compliance requirements.
• Epic certification(s) relevant to data exchange or interoperability modules preferred.
• Experience with health insurance or payer-side data systems preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance in data exchange contexts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, analyze, and maintain Epic systems supporting health data exchange.
• Support interoperability initiatives involving HL7 and FHIR standards.
• Troubleshoot data flow issues between systems and care network partners.
• Collaborate with clinical, technical, and compliance teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Document configurations, workflows, and data mapping specifications.
• Support testing and validation of data exchange integrations.
