Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Manager of Denial Prevention, Trends and Audits to transform denial activity into a proactive, analytics-driven program. You will own the non-clinical denial/audit team, collaborate with Epic Optimization and Revenue Integrity, and drive system changes to prevent denials pre-submission.

The role requires strong Epic HB experience, RCA analytics, and a track record in cross-functional leadership and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field; equivalent healthcare revenue cycle experience considered.
• 5+ years Revenue Cycle experience and 3+ years denial/audit operations.
• Hands-on Epic HB expertise with work queues, edits, BPAs, and real-time eligibility checks.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and program management.

Responsibilities

• Identify denial trends and perform RCA to find upstream causes.
• Lead cross-functional action plans with stakeholders across departments.
• Maintain denial trend dashboards using Epic reporting tools.
• Oversee daily HB denial and audit work queues and SLAs.
• Collaborate with Epic Optimization Team on system changes and validation.
• Track metrics and report progress to leadership.
