Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Manager of Denial Prevention, Trends and Audits to transform denial and audit activity into a proactive analytics-driven program. You will lead the HB denial prevention efforts, partner with the Epic Optimization Team, and drive system-based controls to reduce denials before submission.

The role requires strong Epic HB expertise, population analytics, and cross-functional leadership to deliver measurable improvements in denial rates and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Epic HB expertise including work queue configuration, routing logic, and denial/preventive controls.

Responsibilities

• Identify denial trends and root causes using population-based analytics.
• Develop and maintain a denial trend dashboard with weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence.
• Partner with upstream and downstream stakeholders to translate findings into action plans.
• Lead action planning with defined owners, timelines, and go-live validation.
• Oversee daily denial/audit work queues and ensure SLA adherence.
• Coordinate with Revenue Integrity for seamless handoffs of clinically driven denials.
