Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Manager, Denial Prevention, Trends and Audits, to transform denial and audit activity into a proactive analytics-driven program. You will partner with Patient Access, HB Coding & CDI, Revenue Integrity, and the Epic Optimization Team to drive system changes and prevention-focused improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Epic HB expertise required and hands-on knowledge of denial management systems.
• Proven analytics experience translating denial patterns into system changes.

Responsibilities

• Own denial trend intelligence across payer, reason, service line, and site of care.
• Lead cross-functional action plans with accountable owners and timelines.
• Partner with Epic Optimization Team on build requests and test validation.
• Oversee daily denial/audit queues and monitor SLAs and staffing.
• Maintain an audit tracker and regular leadership reporting.
• Drive governance forums to align clinical and technical denial strategies.
