Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to independently deliver Epic Grand Central-based capacity management engagements for hospitals and health systems in the United States. You will support and optimize patient flow workflows, bed management, and transfers, coordinating with hospital operations, nursing, transport, and clinical informatics teams.

The role requires hands-on Grand Central experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead defined workstreams

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree and Epic Grand Central certification or substantial Grand Central experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring, implementing, optimizing, or supporting Epic Grand Central.
• Experience supporting at least one Epic implementation, major upgrade, optimization, or related project.
• Experience with hospital patient movement, bed management, transfers, or discharge processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Epic Grand Central engagements for capacity management and patient flow.
• Configure, optimize, and document Grand Central functionality (movement, bed planning, boards, transfers, discharge tools).
• Develop testing plans (unit/integrated/regression) and execute with clients.
• Create and refine reports, dashboards, and work queues related to occupancy and throughput.
• Travel up to 50% as required by client projects.
