Job summary

VHC Health in Alexandria, VA, seeks an intermediate level Clinical Systems Analyst II to develop Epic application solutions and integrate other third-party clinical systems. You will analyze processes, configure systems, document changes, and train staff on EPIC functionality, translating clinical needs into EMR features.

The role collaborates with Epic project teams and clinical leaders, participates in testing, builds data sets and reports, and supports ongoing maintenance and enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology or Sciences.
• RN, RRT, RPH, ARNP or PA degrees may be acceptable.
• Epic Certification within six months of hire.
• Five years healthcare industry experience, preferably in hospitals or medical centers.
• Three years deployment experience as clinical analyst, business analyst, or systems analyst.
• Strong SDLC, QA/testing knowledge and excellent written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop Epic application solutions and integrate 3rd party clinical systems.
• Analyze processes to understand data and communications flow and translate needs into EMR functionality.
• Participate in workflow development, system configuration, change documentation, and staff training.
• Test, document workflows, and support maintenance of Epic clinical systems.
• Build data sets, master files, and reports; perform QA and integrated testing.
• Provide 24/7 problem management support and on-call resolution as needed.
